Black Saturday Bushfires

Dean and Michelle travelled to the Victorian Bushfires in 2009 to document the environmental impacts in the aftermath directly afterwards for Greenpeace International and international wires. Initially Dean and Michelle raised their own capital for this journey wishing to steer away from the tragedy of the loss of human lives the broadcasters and tabloids were documenting but to help link this tragedy to the ever growing problem of climate change and global warming.  It was only during their trip that they gained support from the environmental NGO Greenpeace. Dean’s photos travelled globally and have been exhibited internationally.

Dean continues to document bushfires, most recently the Blue Mountains fires in 2013 and ReRu continues to support NGO’s such as 350.org and their battle against climate change by distributing to them for campaign purposes.

We don´t do spin. Instead, we are part of the solution.
